Nai Yang Beach in Phuket, Thailand

Nai Yang Beach is located in the north of Phuket along the west coast. Nai Yang beach is located relatively near the Phuket International Airport.

Nai Yang Beach has not been developed to the extent as other Phuket beaches have such as Patong and Karon. Obviously this is due to most tourists not liking the idea of spending their holiday on any beach which is situated near a busy airport.

The beach at Nai Yang consists of a long stretch of white sand which has remained unspoiled and unaffected by the effects of the rapidly growing Phuket tourism industry. You can lie down under a coconut tree and not be disturbed by annoying beach vendors and loud speedboats. Nai Yang is a type of beach which you might expect to find in a Robinson Crusoe movie.

Nai Yang beach visitors can enjoy one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches of Phuket and the swimming conditions are outstanding.

Nai Yang hotels and other businesses offer some of the lowest prices found anywhere on Phuket. Tourists that would like to visit Phuket and are on a tight budget should definitely consider spending their holiday in Nai Yang beach.

Nai Yang beach has only a few businesses which include a supermarket, a Phuket dive school, rental car business (also rents out motor bikes), cybercafe', some restaurants and small bars and a few hotels / bungalow projects.

The cost of renting a nice air conditioned bungalow at Nai Yang beach is considerably cheaper than what tourists would pay for a small hotel room along Patong or Kamala beach. Tourists that do end up staying at one of the Phuket hotels in Nai Yang beach will most definitely be extremely happy that most tourists refuse to consider staying at this great Phuket beach due to the Phuket airport being nearby.

There is very little additional disturbance coming from airplanes arriving and departing from Phuket International Airport compared to what you would encounter whilst staying in Kamala beach or at Bang Tao beach.

Nai Yang beach does not however have any real form of nightlife. There are a few small bars in Nai Yang beach however they do not normally stay open as late as Patong or Kata bars.

Tourists staying in Nai Yang beach wanting to visit a Phuket disco or witness the famous will nightlife of Phuket then they would have to drive down to Patong beach. The drive to Patong from Nai Yang is a good 45 minute drive by car so that should be taken into account when considering Nai Yang hotels for your Phuket holiday.
